I would think, that because Vfp9 is not available yet, and that because (if i understand it correctly) Vfp9 is only mationed in the MSDN at this time, your IS department might have thought that you can only buy/upgrade to Vfp9 through MSDN.

there is no word out there yet (as far as i know) how and at what price Vfp9 is beeing sold. but it would suprise me if you can not get it alone when the time comes.

MSDN ofcourse is nice to have, because it comes with all kinds of software from ms and if there are new versions of any of those programs (within that year for which you have the subscription) you get them for free.

>I just recieved an invoice from our IS department for 3200.00 for 3 MSDN subscriptions. They said that is the only way now to get from VFP8.0 to VFP9.0. Has MS decided to not sell VFP9.0 new? I can't imaging that 3 VFP9.0 licenses would exceed 3200.00. Is this really the only way to go? Are there features of MSDN that may be worth having one license?
