I have an application in VFP 8.0 that needs to use tables on a server.

When first installed, the server had Windows Professional service pack 3 installed and everything was fine. As this box was old, a new one was installed with the same OS except for Service Pack 4. The application will not function now because access is being blocked. 3 different network guru's have gone through the server's settings many times and cannot find the problem (or any differences in configuration) except the older one has service pack 3 vs. the new one has service pack 4.

The code I use to check if the user has access is as follows:

IF FILE('\\105.16.19.115\xProduction\pInst.dbf')

IF .T. everything is OK.

The folders are setup with full access to everyone.

In addition, I can go the the folder on the older machine by simply using the IP address. If I do this for the newer machine, the "Username/Password" box comes up.

Any ideas
