Oh yes, you are right: I use Python/Postgres and would love SCAN..ENDSCAN, but then again...

rows = cursor.fetchall()
print rows                  # print all rows
for r in rows:
  print r                   # print one row

...in python is quite nice...but VFP*nix would be better!

I had a staff member who swore by PHP and threw together database stuff as quickly as we used to in Fox... except everything was in a sort of collection and required explicit referencing. Those who leave VFP will remember SCAN FOR... WHILE... ENDSCAN with great fondness, I think.
