I've read the few threads on this error which didn't seem to lead anywhere but was hoping someone else might have come up with something ...

I'm getting an Error #2072 "Cursor cannot be modified because it contains an unsaved record" attempting to APPEND BLANK into an EMPTY cursor. The cursor is a remote view against SQL Server. Buffering-5. According to previous threads on this error, this was supposed to be result of the cursor being the datasource for a grid and some grid-buffering type issues. This cursor is empty and not the controlsource or datasource for any UI controls at all.

TableUpdate(), TableRevert(), flush, go top, requery() do not seem to help.

Never saw this or any other error at the same point in VFP7. Only in VFP8 (sp1).

Would really like to move this app to VFP8, but this is a show stopper.
