Hi Joel,

>Ah, I forgot about those. I remember lines of code per day, but I think there were some other useful ones as well. BTW, did you know a second edition is in the works? Last time a checked, a pre-release manuscript was on Steve's site.

Yeah, there were a number of useful ones. And, yes, I did know about the second edition being in the works. I plan to buy it as soon as it "hits" the stands.

>>BTW, you might want to look at his "Rapid Development" or "Software Project Survival Guide" books. I think, if you haven't looked at them yet, they might prove to be invaluable (along with "Code Complete") for you in your new position.

>Yes, those two are on my "to-buy" list. Of course, there are only so many hours in the day, and we have to remain productive <g>.

From the back of the book "Rapid Development":

"Software developers are caught on the horns of a dilemma...One horn of the dilemma is that people don't have time to learn more about rapid development; the other horn is that they won't get the time until they do learn more about rapid development."

Personally, I do a lot of read of technical books while I on the "throne" in the "library".:-)
