Bill,

Oh YES...been there, done that!!! On Win2000 PCs, that's the FIRST thing I check! ReadONLY attributes not getting reset during the install! InstallShield Express seems to handle that ok with the PCs I've installed on locally.

When you copy from a CD, the READONLY attribute remains ON, at least on Win2000 PCs.

I'll check out the DBC to see if any drive letters are getting stored. Although, the client is installing on drive C to match my development drive environment and it still seems to be a problem.

Might be a MereMortals issus...I'm still working on that angle.
