Ronald,
those characters could indeed hose up printer output. Chr(12) is page feed. The combination chr(27) + 'E' means reset to Epson printers.
>Question I have is in regards to what effect these may have had on random printing issues we have experienced in the past. Many of our tables have comment fields (memo's) mainly for the Data Entry's personal notation or for communicating between departments. We have not been monitoring these entries very much other than for certain reports where the request was for these comments to print out. We presently have multiple deskjet printers, lazer printers, multi-functiional devices and old Dot-Matrix printer scattered about. We do have the Dot-Matrix printer at each location especially for multi-part print jobs. We have experienced random PRINTER 'HELL' at our remote sites that is set up thru Citrix. Could the fact that we are sending some of these uprintable characters to print with out realizing that they existed, be part of our issues with printing through Citrix? Any thoughts on this?
