If you right click on the shortcut and then pick properties, do the values look correct? ie the correct .exe and parameters.

Another test to see if it is a VFP problem or something else on your system is to double-click the VFP exe file directly. IF VFP starts, then something or someone has changed something on your system.

Rather than reinstall, try the Repair Installation option. It runs slightly faster and you do not lose your own settings.
