>People should stop making uneducated asumptions about VFP within Microsoft and asking about internal business aspects of VFP within Microsoft. If someone cares greatly about business aspects of VFP, then spend the time educating someone new about VFP, speak at an event, convince someone using an older version of VFP to upgrade to VFP 8.0, etc.

False assumptions hmmmm I wonder why it's like that <vbg>

Usually why do people make false assumptions? Most of the time it's because they don't have enough information or that the information they were given is not good to start with.

What are the boundaries? what kind of questions can we ask? what kind of questions would be considered out of bounds?

When we ask question about where VFP is going you give us nothing more than it's evaluated from versions to versions or you tell us that it's a good tool to build data-centric applications. That's not enough and you know it. There must be a long-term plan for the product. Every serious business does that. I understand that because of uncontrollable circonstances a long-plan can't always be respected but still there has to be one. That way with it you can convince potential customers to use your product.

I could go on but I don't see the need right now. It'll all depends on the answer I receive here. No need to lose my time going on if the questions asked are never answered. We have a saying in french that freely translated in english would go like this. "There's nothing worst than a deaf that does'nt want to hear."

By the way I don't understand you answer and your reaction about the last question I asked you?
