PMFJI, but you hit the nail on the head, regarding a big struggle that VFP people encounter when they go to VS.NET. You just can't do things visually the way you can in .NET. You have to write code, and it takes a little while to transition the mindset.
For all the great things in the C#/VB.NET languages that aren't in VFP, .NET really missed the mark with inheritance. VFP has one of the best models for inheritance that I've ever seen.
When I hear people trash VFP as non object oriented because it has weak support for polymorphism, I counter that .NET's implementation of inheritance is weak as well. Supposedly this will be addressed in Whidbey.
