As both servers were identical OS and SQL versions (It was only a hardware replacement), I did a clean install on the new server, copied over the database and added it. On first check, it contained all the user info, rights etc, the problem only occurs from users not actually on the server, allthough the *.udl connection test succeeds.

>How did you migrate the data? Did you use DTS (Data Transformation Services)? When I migrate a database from one server to another (SQL Server 2000 in my case), I use DTS. From the Enterprise Manager, right-click on your database and select Export Data. When you go through the wizard, I think you have to select Copy object and data between SQL Server databases. This will not only do all the data and views, but it will also do the logins.
