Jeff,

You might want to steer your users away from large fonts. If they make a simple changes font sizes on the appearance tab for: Icon, Menu, messagebox, Titlebars and Tooltip the Normal font size at 96 dpi will work fine.

The only problems end up being apps like #%$^@*$ (can you tell I'm peeved *bg*) VFP which insists on using 8pt fonts with no ability to select a font. Things like the project manager are really annoying in this regard. Combine presbyopic eyes with a 1920x1200 display on my notebook and I waste a lot of time trying to read some things in the VFP UI where I should have to.

FontMetric( 20 ) will tell you the DPI setting and you can potentially use that to adjust some of your object sizes at runtime. You might also need to use FontMetric() for a specific font to be able to find other font size settings that they've made.
