Further down that page, you see the interest amounts continually decreasing even under all of the years for Bush II. I would suspect that the CBO is spinning the numbers just as much as OMB might be. So for me, I'll take the link to the Bureau of the Public Debt figures.

OK, so the debt help by the public went down while the overall debt continued to go up. Debt is debt no matter how you spin it. My VISA card debt went down last month by $100 but my MASTERCARD debt went up $125. Geeze don't I feel better now?
