I have not bought any 3rd party books on Oracle. The ones I have used came with Oracle. The more usefule ones are Oracle System Administrator Guide and the SQL Quick Reference. These were given to me by Oracle when I took Oracle DBA courses from them. If you know an Oracle DBA, maybe you can borrow some of the manuals from them, or visit Oracle's web site for info on purchasing the books directly from them.

I am on a short working and fishing "retreat" in Corpus Christi this week, so I do not have access to the exact titles to the books or the ISBN. When I get back next week, I can get these for you if you like.

>>Oddly enough, I use the manuals that came with the Oracle products -- Administrator's Guide, SQL, etc. The Admin guides will provide lists in the back of all the Oracle system tables and the fields (data dictionary). I have yet to buy a 3rd party book on Oracle.
