That seems an odd question, leading me to make a few assumptions.
The main one is that you are new to this "game" of programming.
It truly depends what *you* mean by "large". If you consider a few thousand records as "large", then ACCESS can do a job for you. Maybe even up to several hundred thousand records, provided that the records are not very big.
You can also access ACCESS data via VFP, using ODBC.
The larger question, thogh, is: Is it your app or theirs??? If it is your app, then you should make decisions like this (keeping in mind, of course, what the market will sustain) but if it is theirs, then they have a definite say. You should, however, be able to talk them into something "better" if VFP is actually better for this case.
