I have been working with vfp for years and I am currently learning and teaching .net. I also have familiarity with c++, java etc. Persoanly, I prefer vb.net. Both C# and vb.net compile down to the MSIL (microsoft intermediate language). For that reason, MS claims that there is no "power" or speed benefit to writing in C over VB. ADO.NET/SQLServer interfaces the same in both VB and C#. ASP handles both equally. So, if it all code cooks in the same pot (MSIL), the differece is syntax. Why bother with all the brackets and semi-colons. Use VB.

PS: Still love and use Fox, just expanding my horizons and testing the waters.
