We have a SQL-Server based accounting system. My Foxpro application needs to connect to the accounting data and pull current prices into the Foxpro app. This is all set up and works fine.

The problem is that some users have a defined ODBC connection and others don't. My app needs to determine if a user can connect to the accounting data before attempting to make the connection and producing errors.

Is there a non-error-producing way to test for the ODBC connection in Fox 7.0?
