Hi Tracy

>Thanks!

You're welcome. Glad to have been of help after all that this FoxPro community has helped me with.

>Have you been using it long with VFP?

Couple of months. 1 on-going project

>Any problems?

None major, yet <g>. You will miss the Logical field though, had to use SmallInt for the checkbox to work with 0's and 1's. Still have to try out VarChar for memo but haven't come around to that yet.

All in all I am thinking of using FireBird for future products also. Clients have this hangup about VFP (IMO specifically DBFs not the Language as they wouldn't know a form in VB from VFP except for the icon) due to the corruptions that can happen (fact) and the advantages advertised (hyped or otherwise) about RDBMS's. FireBird I feel will give us best of both the worlds, lower DBA management like in our beloved VFP DBC's and classified as RDBMS. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Suggested use:
Marathon from SourceForge or IBExpert for database management.
Database Comparer from Clever Components, IB Restructurer from www.ibrest.4mg.com

In your experience you find better freeware/open-source tools then please let me know.

Best of Luck.
Regards
Bhavbhuti
