Next time this occurs, you could copy the file before repairing and do some investigation. Look for the missing records on the corrupt file to see if they are actually there or not. If they are then you could try a few of the other repair utilities. I have never experienced loss of existing data due to server crash. I would suspect your problem is with the server if pre-existing records are being "blown" away.
