I guess I just don't see it as that big of an issue. If you really want to update the PJM file, join the source control project again. <g>

Like Kurt said, we have dummy prg files in each project that reference each file so they automatically get sucked in on build. Even with that, I still have to GET LATEST to pick up other developers' changes either way.

>That's what we've been forced to do here. Thankfully, if you open an explorer window you can now drag&drop multiple files to the project manager in VFP8 and it will add all the files at once...prior versions forced you to do this one file at a time.
>I understand his frustration though ... if a developer adds or removes a file from the project - there really doesn't seem to be a way for the other developers to sycnc the project...its an annoying problem with the .pjm and I've never really found a way around it other than yelling across the hall "hey did you guys add or remove any files from the project?" before I release any builds. Even with the new trick of adding multiple files to the project manager at one time there's still problems - like what if a file was removed from the project? So the alternitve is to purge your sourcesafe database of these old files (which in itself is kinda stupid), wack your entire development directory (also kinda dumb) and pull all the files down from sourcesafe? (not only kinda stupid but possibly time/resource consuming)...hense the reason for my "sneaker-net" concept (walk across the hall and ask) grrrrrr.....there must be a better way.
