How to keep a Grid record in same position

I have a Grid whose source is a Sql command.
Say there are 20 records on the grid and I highlight the 8th item.
It appears on the 8th line from the top.

I now select a button, which : -
1. Stores Recno() to Thisform.MyRecnum
2. Brings up another screen,and I then come back and run the same SQL command which returns the same records
3. I then do a Locate for Recno() = Thisfrom.Myrecnum
and I am psitioned back at the same record number.

However, on the Grid now, my record ends up as the first line in the grid rather than the eight line, even though the exact same records are returned.

I would prefer if the record appeared in the same relative position on the grid. i.e down eight lines.

Anybody got any ideas on why this is happening.

Regards,

Gerard
