Thanks...though I had already read through all the letters from the editor.
Ken posted three examples on new SQL capabilities...
- multiple levels of subqueries (select * from stuff1 where exists (select * from stuff2 where not exists (select * from stuff3))
- include a UNION into an INSERT INTO...SELECT FROM operation
- put a sub-SELECT in a FROM clause.
All 3 are nice...but none cover my specific question of using subquery as a column to return a scalar value.
