If you need advanced graphing and such with reporting, then it will probably still be good for you to use Crystal or another 3rd party report since VFP 9.0 is focused on data and extensibility, and multi-band support, but not everything that all report writers do.
As for devices and web development, the way to go is Visual Studio .NET 2003 since it has all that built in and will continue to evolve well, and VFP is not focused on web or device development. But VFP works great with VS .NET, so you can easily use Visual Studio to build a web or device application that is connected to your VFP application. See the whitepaper at the link at
