Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards Acer as my choice, so it is good to hear that they are reliable. I do visit ebay on occasion, so yes, please send me the link and I will check it out when they become available, but I'm a little spoiled and think I would really prefer a second generation convertible as my development machine, but as always, budget is an issue. After I have built the field application, I will be looking for tablets for field use, but if these are too delicate for biomedical use, I suspect they would not be suitable for the heavy industrial use that I have in mind. I will eventually need a several rugged, industrial type tablets and hope that development of new models will progress in that direction.
