Not come across this but I suspect that in the subclass you removed a member that is present in the superclass. e.g. your superclass has a combobox in it - you decide the subclass won't have such and try to remove it. Your superclass says its "children" must have the combobox.
You can have your superclass LACKING an object (e.g. the combobox) and ADD it to subclasses, but not vice versa.
