I missed the entire Sopranos from start. I never saw any at all until I was at a friends and they had the entire season on dvd. I sat through a marathon of shows. I won't subscribe to HBO just for the sopranos but I will wait for each season on dvd...quite good. So is 6 feet under--I caught that on tape.

I don't think I have seen Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren yet. I'll watch for it...I enjoy British mysteries quite a bit.

>Have you seen Prime suspect with Helen Mirren they where quite good.
>In reverse I'm really looking forward to the Sopranos.

>>We use the same phrases and they mean the same thing. In fact, we have Inspector Morse on UNC (public television)...along with Poirot, Thomas Lynley, and Holmes all on public televison of course...

>>My personal favorite is the Inspector Jury novels (haven't seen a movie yet...)

>>>>>>Hi,
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Last night I was watching a TV series (Inspector Morse - UK - excellent!) and at some point in a dialog came the expression: "he was burning midnight oil", that was translated (in the subtitles) to something like "working late at night".
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Later on came the expression: "cooking the books" that althougt wasn't translated I understood as manipulating the ledger of the company to false numbers.

>>>>>>Is that correct?
