You're correct, a Memo field's equivalent of varchar data type.

What would be equivalent of varchar type in VFP free table? I tried C type in VFP table but get error "column type mismatch". As I type this message, I think I should try Memo but I don't like to create a VFP table with many Memo fields (even if it works).
