I don't have samples, but it seems quite simple. Calculate how many milli-seconds are left until the desired time, and use a Timer to fire an event at the specified time. As soon as the Timer fires, disable it. Show a MessageBox(), or perhaps better some special form, with the desired message.
You might also forget about programming VFP, and just use the Windows Scheduler.
