Set up SourceSafe server on your server. This is where the SS database will be. Then create a project folder in SS and add all files/folders from your project to SS. This will store current copies in the SS database.

>After I add my proj to vss, how to tell vfp my project is at my server?
Your VFP project will still reside locally but version control will now be handled on the server in the SS database. In VFP go to Tools/Options
and select Microsoft SS as your active source control provider. Once done a menu item will appear on the File menu to join source control project. Select your project from source safe.

>After I check out my file, and would like to run it, will vfp know my libraries are stored in server?

Continue to use VFP as normal. VFP works very smoothly with VSS. The only difference you'll notice is the need to check out/in files when you work with them.

Hope this helps,
Jake
