So, when you say "WORKGROUP" in caps is that to firmly tell us that it is a peer-to-peer network arrangement?
If so then what is the OS of the system that houses the data? **IF** it is Win2K then have a look at the UT Bug List #26. It dewcribes a different symptom but sounds like it could be related.
