Hi Doru,

>I understand that in order to allow access to a 'member area', while still having a few pages that can be visited without login, you need to have two projects, so that you have two web.config files:

You can use the < location > tag in the web.config to set different permission for pages in your web app.

Configuration settings can be applied to specific resources by using a < location > tag with an appropriate path attribute. The path attribute can be used to identify a specific file or child directory to which unique configuration settings apply.

Take a look at ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/MS.MSDNQTR.2003FEB.1033/cpguide/html/cpconconfigurationlocationsettings.htm

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Eugênio
