We have a mixed network with W2K and XP machines and users with roaming profiles. The C0000005 error happens very often, usually when a user comes back from an XP station to a W2K one. After the error, the user can't start VFP apps, nor VFP itself! We use the hard way to fix it: delete the user profile, on all stations AND on the server. I was about to use the REGMON utility to see what happens (http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/regmon.shtml). I'd be very happy to find a better way to solve this, thanks if you keep us posted...
