I am using controls that are found in the mscomctl.ocx file (namely, treelist and listview). Now, these controls were displaying properly on my development machine both in VFP 7.0 and now in 8.0. I then decided to finally uninstall VFP 6.0 from my machine (noticing that there is an option to remove ActiveX).

I did the uninstall of all components and lo and behold the controls mentioned above now give an error (either class is not licensed or the control is not properly registered). I re-install VFP 6.0 (with ActiveX) and I'm back in business.

However, I have a machine (XP) that gives me the errors mentioned above. I tried copying the file and registering (using regsvr32) with no success.

How do I successfully register this control file without installing VFP 6.0 with ActiveX on a client machine?? Surely, someone must know the answer to this?
