I'm doing an update of a remote view (sql server) via a grid. The view is set on row buffering. Via the 'f5' key i'm adding a blank record to the view/grid and the user can insert the information.

The problem starts when the user use the mouse or up arrow to change the row in the grid without inserting information into te active record.

Because some of the fields in the table won't accept null values i get an error message. Infact in that case the creation has to be stoped and the focus has to return to the last record in the view.

How can i solve this problem without using on 'key label' or using table buffering instead of row buffering ?
