In the report wizard I'm trying to build a new report that involves fields from several tables.

At one point I get an error message saying that there are too many variables.

I'm wondering what I should do about that. What kind of mess could lead to this result?

I tried tracing the code but it does'nt seem to be an easy task to pinpoint where this is happening.

At some point there could be many relations that could relate to given tables. Relations that are needed by the application but not for the reporting.

Would it be better for me to create a data engine class. This way I'd be able to establish what I really need. And get rid of that error?

Did I forget something? What else could you tell me that I did'nt think of?
