Eh, well, if a theory is proven untrue it is no longer a theory. Its crap.

The accepted theories are crap too, we just haven't found a reason to justify why it is crap, so we accept it until that happens. :-)

This is why the former Professor of the Scientific Method at the London School of Economics (Sir Karl R. Popper) held the opinion that the so-called scientific method doesn't exist beyond the method of the critical rationalist and scientific knowledge doesn't exist beyond conjectural knowledge.

(Whats most interesting about this is that the Professor of the Scientific Method claims that the scientific method doesn't exist, yet keeps his job. I don't know how the great thinkers manage to pull this stuff off!)
