and OTHER things such as
referential integrity
1:MANY persistent relationships
triggers
to say 'later stage during the conversion' kinda tells me you may want to
rethink your migration strategy. For just the one pointy-clicky thing to upsize the data ? it's not enough.
There is also migration of business rules into stored procedures.
You spoke of CHANGING business rules, which from a time to production metric, MUST also be taken into consideration [imo] But I am not speaking of CHANGING them just yet - you will need to rewrite them FIRST into SQL before you will make time to CHANGE them.
