>Here latley we have been getting several new computers in our department. These computers seem to go to sleep after my app has been running on them for a while because the timer that checks for the app status quits firing. If the user has the app minumized, then restores or maximizes the app and then clicks on one of the forms the timer starts again. This is not very good when I need to shut down all the instances running remotely by sending a flag to a static table field when the timer looking at the field isn't firing. Any ideas?

There are some circumstances under which a VFP timer won't fire. Bela Bodecs offers an improved timer that avoids some of these limitations: A form independent, enhanced timer fll File #9315
