There was just last week a thread about restoring from the mdf and ldf files, but it seems they were in SQL 2K. I need to restore from these files as well, but in SQL Server 7.0. There is not an 'Attach Database' option in the 'All Tasks' pull down menu.

I have tried to Create a new DB and then indicate the exitsingMDF/LDF files, but it chokes on that. I have tried to create the DB then replace the MDF/LDF, but it says that there is a sharring violation, and won't replace them.

I don't have much knowledge of SQL 7.0. Is there another way to do the same thing in this version? I have looked in the 7.0 BOL for 'attach database', and found no help.
