I write ( on parent.parent.parent message ) that SQL Server have only index key /page / table lock.
You write ( on parent.parent ) that it is incorrect, but you do not write why.

I known RID lock, but this lock type are out of developer control,
then when a developer try to lock a sql row, it must use index.
