Thank you for responding to my GROUP BY question. I will look at the code, but I think I let the SQL command open the dbf, so no ORDER is already set by me. All the index files are CDXs, though, so is it possible it is opened in some default order? Do you think it would be better to open the dbf explicitly and SET ORDER TO? I will try it but due to the intermittency of this incorrect result, it is hard to test conclusively.
