You understand what I meant really I think. I only say think and write yourself even at the end it might be the same code to the last point or not.
PS: About mdown() being backward compatible. I unfortunately don't know a function, event etc that replaced it totally. Would like to know what replaced it. If you've read the message carefully you'd notice there isn't in that saying 'works VFPn and up'. IOW it's for VFP3 and up. You might at least create a different version using GridHitTest() and really all you need to say was that maybe. If you don't like it simply don't use.
