It's a good question too. One that VB'ers don't even see to know to ask. I am working on a .Net project with a bunch of former VB'ers and of course, they/we are just dragging framework controls to the forms rather than creating a first layer subclass of all the controls.

Now, granted in a web app you can use CSS to change the visual look of alot of things, so it's not as important to do it. But, it can't hurt. And, if we change to change all the date's to be a new server controll with a callendar, we could have just swapped out the base class.

There answer, well, you can just do a find and replace...
