Paulo, IF you have access to the Clipper source code, you can re-compile using either the Clipper CDXNTX driver (I think that's the name, it's been a few years) or a 3rd party driver such as SixDriver (my strong suggestion). With a little data conversion, you will have a Clipper program which reads Fox2.6 CDX and FPT files instead of NTX and DBT files. THen, write your VFP program with using a Database - only free Fox2.6 tables. Although you will lose the benefits of the DBC you WILL be able to use both programs simultaneously.

With a bit of planning, you can include code to take advantage of the DBC when you finally switch completely to VFP.
