Have you tried just making the fields a little wider? I'm assuming that these are numeric fields here. Looks like, at higher resolutions, the engine queries the driver and calculates slightly more space needed for the numbers, and finds there isn't room.

Another way to fix it, believe it or not, is to set the field to stretch (even though you don't want it to). This way the engine is sometimes tricked into omitting its "*" trick for truncated numbers.
