Thanks for the very thorough explanation .. it helps! Obviously, I will need to rethink some things when using views vs. dbf tables. When creating a new project from scatch, it will be obviously easier to incorporate a 'parameterized view mentality' than trying to 'retro-fit' some older applications to work with views.

Besides making back-ups of your data, do you use any particular program to recover from corrupted data situations?
