3000000 * 2500 = 7,500,000,000 = 6.9GB. VFP can only handle 2 gb per fpt file.

You can split the data across multiple tables, or only store a filename and let the actual scanned image reside in a subdirectory structure. You probably want to architect it to keep the number of files per directory down to a few thousand per folder.
