I've worked with Lotus Notes 4.0 and it's a decent product. The only problem that I found with it is that it cannot support tons of data. You can either separate and create many smaller databases or you can utilize ODBC to connect to other more powerful databases. The choice will depend on what you need to accomplish. I'm not expert enough to say how VFP handles web stuff, but I know Michel here can.
