Stephane,
>You were one of the first to take this thread and change the discussion to be one on
good programming techniques. No, I was not.
But quite frankly, I agree with the posts that tried to point out that we can write code in such a manner that open dialog never comes up.
>Do you feel that using this feature is a defendable technique ?
I don't use it, but that isn't the point. Because it is in the language there are people out there that do use it. There are also people out there that use the CHANGE command. If a command/feature is in the language you can be sure that someone, somewhere in the billions of lines of FoxPro code out there is using it. It does not matter if you or I use that command/feature. It does not matter if you or I think it is a good or bad command/feature.
>With all due respect, if i understand well, what you saying is
I should not give my opinion on what i think is good or bad, only people with an MVP should.
Stephane, I've said nothing of the sort anywhere in this thread. You are free to give your opinion about how you'd like to see this feature change. You are free to cast a vote on the wishlist. Please tell me what I've posted that leads you to think that I've said you should not give your opinion on the topic.
