Scratch this, I found out that this pageframe was designed with no tabs, but had "tabs" that were actually buttons used to mimic the tabs so the tabs would be vertical and not horizontal.

Lesson one, it's good to have things like this well documented for future developers!!! A nice chunck of my afternoon gone for that :).
